An evolved, more flexible high-gain distortion pedal.
Equipped with 3-mode gain range and high-quality 3-band EQ unique to Empress. It supports a wide range of sound making, from light crunch to powerful heavy grind. In addition, the Weight parameter allows you to intuitively control the power of the low range, creating a heavy sound that lives up to its name.
The Adaptive Noise Gate perfectly follows your playing and does not interfere with your feeling, allowing for stepless threshold control. It also has a Gate Key Input that allows you to trigger the gate with an external signal, creating the perfect sound for any situation.

① gain
Adjusts the amount of distortion along with the Channel switch.
② Weight
Changes the character of the low end - clockwise for a thicker sound, counterclockwise for a tighter sound perfect for bridge muting.
③ Output
Adjusts the overall volume of the pedal.
④ low, mid, high
Each frequency band can be boosted or cut by +/- 15dB. The Low Shelf boosts or cuts frequencies below approximately 80Hz, and the High Shelf boosts or cuts frequencies above approximately 3kHz.
⑤ Gate Thresh
Adjusts the noise gate threshold level.
⑥ mid freq
Sets the center frequency of the midEQ. It can be set in the range of 200Hz-2.5kHz.
⑦ channel
Changes the gain range and voicing. The gain increases in the order of lite(ish), heavy, and heavier, emphasizing the high end.
⑧ Gate Footswitch
Switches the gate ON/OFF.
⑨ Bypass footswitch
Switches distortion ON/OFF.
⑩ Gate key input
The Noise Gate can also be triggered by an external signal using the Gate Key Input.
This is a very useful solution if you are using other pedals before the Heavy Menace: sending a clean pre-split signal to the Gate Key Input will ensure that the gate will operate consistently regardless of any effects applied to the signal coming into the main Input. You can also use other sources for creative effects.
The Gate Key Input uses a 1⁄8” TS/TRS cable. With a TRS cable, the Tip (Left) signal controls the noise gate and the Ring (Right) is connected to ground.

When you receive the product, please immediately check for any damage.

If the product is dirty, scratched, or otherwise defective, or if the product you receive is different from the product you ordered, we will accept exchanges and returns. We apologize for the inconvenience, but please check within 7 days after arrival.

We accept returns within 7 days of receiving the product. Exchanges must also be made within 7 days.

In the following cases, we will not charge return shipping fees for returns or exchanges:
